(Your Opinion Is Non-Cents)
The fault of some opinions
and reason why they fail
is not for lack of truth or proof,
but single-side detail.
Flat-hard views,
much like a coin,
have flip sides to avail.
For a penny’s head
spends just as true
as the value of its tail.
Author’s Notes:
Some people have said that I’m wishy-washy because I see both sides of most everything.
That doesn’t mean I don’t have strong opinions.
But I do struggle to respect people with “flat-hard” opinions who can’t see that a differing viewpoint also tells a truth and has some merit worth considering.
As much as I think I see both sides, I have to remind myself not to dismiss people’s opinions as worthless “non-cents”.
